Lauifi Fualelei Seumaala began his career with the San Francisco Fire Department in 1987, and would go on to serve both his department and community for the next 28 years. Known as “Big Daddy Lau,” he is remembered as a God-fearing man who loved to spoil his wife, cherish his children and enjoy the company of his church family. Always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, he will be remembered as a blessing that will never fade in the lives of those he knew. He is survived by his wife, Ululau, and their four children. Lauifi died in 2015 after suffering a job-related heart attack.
