Christopher Charles Rutledge Chris was a first generation Firefighter Paramedic. He began his love of the fire service in the Lucerne Valley Fire Department explorers with his brother Mark. Chris would continue his dedication by working in a paid call position before transitioning to shift work and ultimately getting hired as a full-time Firefighter Paramedic with San Bernardino County Fire Agency. Chris used his days off spending time at the river with his Dad and family as well as planning the next big Halloween party. He was very dedicated to his friends and family. Chris died in the line of duty at the young age of 25 doing what he loved, helping others. Chris never married or had kids of his own, but loved being called “uncle Chris” by his best friends kids. Chris was survived by his father Charles, mother Judy, older sister Jennifer, younger brother Mark and too many friends to count.
