John Edward Ruedy began his career with the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1989, promoting through the ranks from Engineer to Fire Captain. John was passionate about his career and served the citizens of Los Angeles City with honor, pride, and integrity. Outside of work, John loved nothing more than spending time with his family. John passed away in May 2021 from job-related cancer. He is survived by his wife and two children.
