David Todd Moorman David T. Moorman proudly served the Los Angeles City Fire Department for 28 years, where he climbed through the ranks to captain II. He was a member of CATF1 Urban Search & Rescue Team and was deployed to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Ike. He was also deployed to New York after the 9/11 attacks. Throughout his career he received multiple letters of commendation and most notably the LAFD Medal of Honor. David enjoyed camping, river trips and fishing. Above all, he loved being with family and friends. In February of 2017, David succumbed to job-related heart condition. He is survived by his wife, Amy, and their two children, Elizabeth and Richard.
