Mark Miller was destined to be a firefighter from a young age. He was the son of a Ventura County Fire Department Battalion Chief and joined as a cadet the moment he was old enough. He later joined CAL FIRE in the San Bernardino Unit and subsequently the Riverside Unit. Prior to retirement, Mark spent 14 years at the Oak Glen Conservation Camp as a well-respected Crew Foreman, not only training and supervising his crew but mentoring new Fire Captains in the career path he loved so much. He was a dedicated husband to Debbie; a proud dad to Bryce, Addie, and Jacob; a caring brother, a brave firefighter, and a wonderful friend who served his community well.
