Thomas McGrath was a devoted firefighter and a strong family man. Fire Station 35 was his home away from home and his crew was his second family. He would often bring his wife and children into the station so they could be a part of the place that he loved so much. Off duty, his favorite things included drag car racing, body building, the Padres, Elvis and doing yard work with his grandchildren. He passed away of a heart attack.
