Michael McCusker, known affectionately as "Big Mac," dedicated his life to his family and the community he served as a firefighter and friend. Off duty, he enjoyed coaching his two daughters' softball and soccer teams, backpacking, camping and boating. In 2005, he traveled to Italy with his wife to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. It was a cherished memory that helped him through the next year's struggle with job-related cancer, which ultimately took his life.
