Theodore Mathews came to California in October 1959.  He joined the Corona Fire Department on December 16, 1959.  He was appointed to the rank of Captain in 1966 and did much of the training for the department.  Theodore belonged to the Masonic Order of the Masons.  He loved to travel and always put his wife and daughter first.
