If you wanted to find Kent Leverton, the place to check was outdoors. Whether it was the mountains or the ocean or the desert, Kent loved to be there with the family that he lived for. On the job, Leverton was a fire captain for 23 of his 30 years on the job. When he talked about life on the front lines, Kent never talked about what he'd done í__ only about those who helped and the brother and sister firefighters alongside whom he worked. But, as with all firefighters, his mark was left in the lives that continue today because he was on the job.
