William Lenzen was born on August 6, 1960, and was the second eldest of six children. Bill had a strong Catholic upbringing and served as an Altar Boy at St. Bruno Catholic Church for many years. His brother Matt believes growing up in and around the church had an impact on Bill and contributed to his giving nature, and his willingness to support those in need. Bill started his career with the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 1983. In 1994, Bill was promoted to Engineer, a position he held until his retirement in 2019 after serving for 35 years. He loved the outdoors and sharing the experiences with his family and friends. Bill had a giving heart and volunteered his time to assist the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Alicia Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. He was a mentor to many young firefighters and lived an impactful life.
