Robert “Bob” Leitzke embodied the best qualities of a firefighter and served the citizens of Modesto with honor and pride for nearly 29 years.  Bob joined the Modesto Fire Department in 1971 and was passionate about his career.  Outside of work, he loved the outdoors, family camping trips, fishing and duck-hunting.  Bob cherished time with his family on vacations.  He passed away from job-related cancer in July of 2018.
