Daniel Lamothe wanted to become a firefighter to give back to the community he was born and raised in. Daniel’s dream began after the CZU Lightning Complex fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains. He was a self-taught standup bass musician and played in the psychobilly band Stellar Corpses for 15 years. He later became a barber so he could work around the band’s touring schedule. In January 2023, he began his training as a firefighter. Dan was well-loved by his friends and family.
