James R. Hull Jim lived his life being kind, non-judgmental, and above allí__ an adventurer. It's no wonder that because of his love for the water, Jim's career in public safety began on the beaches of San Diego as a lifeguard. In 1981, he was hired by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, and was later promoted to engineer. He also had the privilege of being deployed with Urban Search and Rescue, California Task Force 8, in response to the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City. In the firehouse, as in life, Jim was known for his integrity, a strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. His beloved wife, Jill, will always remember his quiet strength and beautiful eyes. Jim loved his life, his job, his family and his dogs. He lives on in those who knew himí__ and will be greatly missed.
