Dean Hale was passionate about helping and caring for others.  Since the age of 17, he knew he wanted a career in the fire service.  He began his career as a cadet for La Habra Heights and Alhambra Fire Departments.  During his 29 years in the fire service he mentored Murietta Fire Explorers youth program and was awarded Murietta Fire & Rescue’s Firefighter of the Year in 2008 and posthumously in 2019. Dean loved being with his family enjoying the outdoors, camping, waterskiing, and boating together.  He passed away from job-related cancer in November 2019.
