Edward Godinez started his federal career in 2013 with the Forest Service as a Firefighter on the Angeles’ Roadrunner Crew. From there he went on to work in New Mexico with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Bosque del Apache and Bitterlake National Refuges. In 2019, Edward came to San Bernardino as the Air Tanker Base Engineer before being promoted to Air Tanker Base Manager. He was known for his calm demeanor and was beloved for the way he brought people together. Edward was a beloved son, brother, uncle, fiancé, firefighter, and man of God.
