Michael D. Ferguson started his career as a San Diego Lifeguard and, shortly after, moved to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Firefighting was the perfect career for Mike because he loved helping people, and it allowed him to spend time with his daughters. He was a member of the River Rescue Team, Cliff Rescue Team, and Lifeguard Dive Team. Mike had many talents and hobbies. He built beautiful furniture, designed and built two amazing houses, participated in triathlons, swam almost daily, rode extensive distances on his road bike, was an amazing cook and gardener, and loved music, collecting thousands of records that he shared with his friends and family.
