Samuel Robert Spicer Davis had the heart of a servant, was a champion of the underdog, and was always willing to help his fellow man. At the age of 27, Sam began his firefighting career as an Engineer with CDF/ San Mateo County Fire, and after 27 years of service, he retired as a Captain with CAL FIRE. He served as a Chaplain and Union Representative, but he was most proud of the work he accomplished as the CAL FIRE Local 2881 State Retiree/Disability Director after retiring from duty. In addition to the fire service, Sam was an ordained Elder who enjoyed serving in the church, spending time with his family, and working around his house.
