Patrick Dalton began his firefighting career as a volunteer in November  1959.  He was hired as a full-time firefighter by Ventura County Fire Department in 1962, and rose through the ranks as an Engineer, Captain and Battalion Chief.  In his profession, Pat’s foremost thought was for the protection of the citizens, their property and the safety of those men he was responsible for.  Pat Dalton was devoted to his family and dedicated to his fellow firefighters and the citizens of Ventura County.  He loved life, and shared himself and his talents freely.
