Allen Columbro was passionate about the fire service and began his CAL FIRE career in 1975 in the Amador/El Dorado Unit as a seasonal firefighter. He worked in several units including Humboldt-Del Norte, Riverside, Madera/Mariposa/Merced and Tuolumne-Calaveras. In a career spanning 33 years he tirelessly served the citizens of California. Allen’s interests included history and collecting antiques. Allen passed away from the effects of job-related cancer in October 2015.
