Stephen “Steve” T. Andrews began his firefighting career as a volunteer firefighter in 1994. He was a member of various special teams, including SWAT, the Rescue Team and Butte Co. Search & Rescue (specializing in helicopter operations). Outside of his work he enjoyed coaching little league, running marathons, shooting his bow, hunting, and generally being outdoors enjoying nature. Steve succumbed to the effects of job-related cancer in May 2021.
