LODD: Sac Metro Fire Department Firefighter Anthony Benelisha

It’s with great sadness that Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District and the Sacramento Area Firefighters, Local 522, announce the passing of our brother, Firefighter Anthony Benelisha. Firefighter Benelisha succumbed to his battle with cancer on February 7 with his family by his side.

Firefighter Benelisha loved the fire service. He served the citizens with honor and distinction for 10 years, the last two of which were with the Sac Metro Fire District. Anthony Benelisha was not only an exemplary firefighter but also a dedicated union brother and a loving father, husband, and son. He was admired for his unwavering commitment to his family and his profession.

Above all, Anthony was a devoted family man. His love for his wife Ashleigh and daughter Eleanor was evident in every aspect of his life. His family was his pride and joy, and his legacy of love will continue to guide them.
